hawthorne's chalk dust art

[artistic nudity - dont like it - dont look]
I made 8 prints of me [nakkid] body covered in chalk dust... (very messy)
kept 4* of them and will be putting them up
(* one was destroyed by my son... so there are only 3)
as I get them photograghed....
will also be drawing on them
and doing other things to them as the mood hits me!
will likely make more as this was alot of fun!
exspeacially the cleaning up afterwards....

well this is what I look like with chalk dust and spray glue on my face!


1st ... this one got brushed and half the image got removed
before I got to use the fixative so I drew over it... still I like how it turned out

2nd ... this is my favorite... I hope it shows well enough
the chalk dust is faint after the fixative and the blk paper looks gray
2nd ... with different lighting - which do you like better?


3rd ... drawing on... note the colours are just light effects this was done with white chalk powder and white pastel stick and black charcoal stick spray adhesive and spray fixative which gives it the shine with the camera flash

4th ... just the body print
4th ... than a simple drawing on top... trying to stay close with the print in mood

still only in black and white the sepia colour is from the lighting.... room lights no flash...
the flash made it more black and white but glare destroyed 1/2 the image...

tradically about 2" of the left hand side of this got destroyed....
I cut off the damage and it DOESNT look that bad...
